Whether you’re stepping into your first group fitness class, training with a certified professional, or exploring new wellness strategies, we’re here to help you live well—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

What Is Fitness & Wellness?

Fitness & Wellness at Armstrong is a holistic program that empowers students to take control of their health and well-being. We offer group classes, self-guided fitness plans, educational workshops, and personal training services to help you stay on track, reduce stress, and feel your best.

Our mission is simple: to support your success—on campus and beyond—through sustainable, healthy habits.

What Is Wellness?

Wellness is more than fitness—it’s a daily commitment to reaching your full potential. It’s about becoming aware of your choices and taking action to create a more balanced, successful, and meaningful life.

Georgia Southern defines wellness across seven key dimensions:

  • Environmental – Living in harmony with nature and promoting sustainability
  • Physical – Maintaining health through exercise, nutrition, and sleep
  • Spiritual – Seeking purpose, meaning, and connection
  • Occupational – Finding satisfaction and growth in your career or studies

Our programs are designed to support every dimension of wellness—so you can live fully and thrive in every part of your life.

Group Exercise Programs

Stay motivated and energized with our group fitness classes—offered throughout the week in the ARC. Classes range from high-intensity to low-impact, including:

  • Zumba
  • Yoga
  • HIIT
  • Cycling
  • Strength Training

All fitness levels are welcome, and classes are included with your ARC membership.

Personal Training

Get personalized support from nationally certified trainers who are here to help you set goals, stay accountable, and get results. Training packages are available at student-friendly prices and include a free interest consultation.

Self-Directed Programs

Prefer a flexible, go-at-your-own-pace approach? Our self-directed programs are built for you. Access guided challenges, fitness trackers, and motivational tools—perfect for busy schedules or independent workouts.

Wellness Events & Signature Programs

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events and themed wellness weeks to help you stay balanced, reduce stress, and have fun. Some of our most popular include:

  • Moonlight Yoga
  • Zumba Glow
  • Stress-Free Day
  • Zombie Run
  • Farmers Market Pop-Ups
  • Think Before You Drink Week

These events are open to all students and are a great way to relax, recharge, and connect with others.
